Introduction

PurpleBunny provides a place to add and read comments about web pages. With PurpleBunny, you can

PurpleBunny provides a Firefox toolbar that you add to your Firefox browser. You use the toolbar to read and write comments for the page you are currently reading. You can also set the toolbar to alert you when there are comments about the current page you are viewing.

The comments you add are weaved into a blog. As you write comments, you are actually blogging! Anyone who visits the comment pages within PurpleBunny can read other comments you have written for other pages.

Like blogs, PurpleBunny contribute content to the web. It turns you from being a content provider to being a content consumer. But unlike blogs, a thread of discussion is focused on a particular web page rather than a particular author.

Getting Started

This is a simple getting started guide. Please see the more detailed documentation set at the bottom of this page if you would like to know more.

Use of the Firefox browser is recommended to get the full PurpleBunny experience. If you do not have the Firefox browser on your computer, you can can download a free copy here. Version 1.0.6 or later is recommended.

If you are using other browsers, such as Internet Explorer, you will be able to read and reply to comments other people have written. However, you won't be able to be the first person to comment on a web page.

To get started, first, install the PurpleBunny Firefox toolbar if you have not already.

Once it's installed, you will see this toolbar within your Firefox browser, at the botto left corner.

As you are surfing the web, you will see different colored bubbles in the toolbar.

You can click on the bubble or to get more info about available comments.

To leave a comment, click or select the 'Write a comment…' selection from the menu.

To read a comment, click or select the 'Read a comment…' selection from the menu.
