Data Collection

PurpleBunny collects limited non-personally identifying information your browser makes available whenever you visit a website. This log information includes your Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your query and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. We use this information to operate, develop and improve our services.

Some of our services, such as posting comments, require you to register for an account. PurpleBunny asks you for some personal information in order to create an account (typically your name, email address and a password for your account) and we will use that information to provide the service.

Cookies

Upon your first visit to PurpleBunny, a cookie may be sent to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. Some features available on the PurpleBunny Toolbar can enhance your browsing experience, but may require that we have some understanding of the web pages that you are viewing. For example, by knowing which web page you are viewing, the PurpleBunny Toolbar can show you if there are any comments available for the web page or the web site that you are currently browsing.

Thus, if you choose to enable the PurpleBunny Toolbar's Advanced Features, such as the ability to notify you that a page has comments, information about the web pages you visit, such as its URL and its title, will automatically be sent to PurpleBunny, so that we may check to see if there are any comments for the web page.

This information is only used to check if comments are available for the current web page and site, and will not be used for any other purpose.

We believe these features will greatly enhance your browsing experience. We understand, however, you may not agree that the benefits provided by these features outweigh the information we must collect. For this reason, we provide you the opportunity to disable these features from the Advanced Features menu in the PurpleBunny toolbar.

With these Advanced Features disabled, no information about the page you are viewing will be sent to PurpleBunny. You will still be able to use the other functions of the toolbar.

Changes to this Policy

Please note this Privacy Policy will change from time to time. We expect most such changes to be minor, but there may be changes that are more significant. Regardless, we will post those changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will also provide a more prominent notice.
